There will be no charge for admission this February at the Yarmouth County Museum thanks to the sponsorship of Pharmasave!

January to April

'Sea Monsters' exhibit opens in the lower gallery of the education wing. The opening will take place from 2pm to 4pm. This exhibit, from the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, looks at how monsters came to be from the oceans deep and includes some 'monster' artifacts. Collection will be up until April 2012.

February 20th

Monday, February 20th, The Yarmouth County Museum is hosting their annual Hertiage Ham Luncheon. Lunch will be available from 11am to 1pm. Take out will be available. Lunches will be $10 per person. We hope to see you there!

Wednesday Nights in February

The Yarmouth County Museum will be hosting Heritage talks on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30pm. These talks are free events. All are welcome to attend.

February 1st, Howard Nickerson will be talking about his book "The Sawdust Trail".

February 8th, Donnie Jacquard will be discussing the village of Wedgeport.

February 15th, Marsha Richardson will be telling stories of the Braemar Lodge.

February 22nd, TBA.

February 29th, David Sollows will be talking about Water Street.

January to April

'Strokes - Mabel Killam Day' exhibit opening will take place from 2 to 4 pm. This exhibit will include Day's paintings from the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, from the museum's own collection, and also some from private collections. Collection will be up until April 2012.
